His caregiver died recently there and he has no family or friends so I want him (and he does also) to move to Colorado Springs to be near me so I can transport him, support him emotionally, etc. I'm almost 63 yrs. old and helping him long distance is very stressful on me emotionally and financially. He is on Medicaid in TX, SSI disability and gets food stamps. I am looking for the same services here for him. He also attends a clinic under Medicaid that provides him with a psychiatrist and medical support such as a monthly blood test for his medication for schizophrenia--clozaril, which works better than any other medication for him. Since he can only be perscribed enough meds for 30 days due to the blood test requirement, how can we get assistance for more medications when he moves here immediately since he deteroriates very rapidly when without meds?
