For several years, research and evidence have shown that mental illness can and does occur in younger children. NAMI has developed information packets for teachers in elementary schools, middle schools, and high schools. We have distributed many of these packets to teachers and administrators in Colorado Springs and we will continue to give these packets out. We recommend anyone who works with children to review these packets.
