About Family Support Group
NAMI’s Family Support Group provides peer support for family members as their loved ones encounter the ups and downs that come with living with mental illness and working toward recovery. Groups are open to anyone 18 or older.
To get a sense of what you might expect at a support group gathering, see the two documents below. The "Principles of Support" guide and ground our discussions; the "Predictable Stages of Emotional Reactions" document provides a useful reference for facilitators and attendees alike.
