​NAMI Colorado Springs began as an all-volunteer organization nearly 40 years ago. Today, it's still fueled by incredible people who donate their time, talent and heart.
 
Each month, we’re going to highlight one such volunteer on this blog. And we’re going to start with Shani Jurgensen, a teacher of NAMI’s Basics course. In this short video — assembled by another gifted NAMI volunteer, Crayton Daniel — Shani talks about how she got involved with NAMI and what keeps her connected ... even though she now lives 1,000 miles away.
